The family has an important place in the care of people with PD. Especially, when they live together or there is an economic dependency, the family environment influences the person with PD, hence the great importance of family involvement in the treatments that are carried out. In the association this family therapy is carried out in two ways:
The entire family nucleus: Only in cases where it is considered necessary to make a joint intervention.
With the members of the family system that demand it, at the same time the person with PD is intervened individually. Family members have an emotional strain due to living with the person with PD, which makes it important to pass on the possibility of change, help them improve coexistence, "correct" frequent errors in communication and help them assess the changes and the goals achieved, reaching to an acceptance and assessment of your relative with TP.
